It is time to begin the chapter of the WINEries of Cyprus’ Own Rooted Evolution!

What is WINECORE?

15 wineries of Cyprus, driven by their passion for the long-standing Cypriot wine heritage, joined forces around a common vision: to evolve and place on the map of global iconic wines, Cypriot labels from the island’s unique vines.

These vines are planted on their own natural rootstocks, rather than grafted onto others. Therefore, the wines made from these vines of the local varieties of Cyprus, truly express the “Sense of Place” offering a unique experience.

The members of WINECORE, through this experience, aim to showcase the importance and rarity of the Cypriot vineyards to wine lovers in Cyprus as well as around the world.

Andamoma

On Sunday March 12th, 2023, the 15 WINECORE member wineries will present their wines made from the indigenous grape varieties of Cyprus. The wines that carry the WINECORE brand are made from vines cultivated by the 15 wineries that are planted on their own natural rootstocks. 

Wine lovers will have the opportunity to taste varietal and blended wines made from the indigenous grape varieties Maratheftiko, Yiannoudi, Mavro, Lefkada, Xynisteri, Morokanela, Vasilissa, Spourtiko and Promara.

With the “Andamoma” fair, WINECORE aims to showcase the exceptional Cypriot wine that is harmoniously connected with the identity and the uniqueness of the Cypriot vineyards, in other words, the Sense of our Place.

Day: Sunday, March 12, 2023

Time: 2-8 pm

Venue: CETI Locale, Limassol

Tickets: At the entrance on the day of the exhibition.

Host an in-office wine tasting event

In-Office Wine Tasting Events

An in-office tasting event typically features an introduction to tasting techniques, followed by a tasting of five wines, with the ‘flavor tasting kit’ that includes sweet, salty, bitter, and acidic nibbles, along with crusts for calibration of your palette. The session lasts 1.5 to 2 hours and focuses on a guided, interactive, and enjoyable sensory experience, tailored to your needs!

A broad idea of how an event works is as follows:

  • Welcome drink
  • Short introduction from your host explaining how the evening will work.
  • Introduction to wine tasting technique (with wine of course!).
  • Putting our new knowledge to practice by sampling a number of other wines, we generally think five is a good number, but we can do more or fewer!
  • Your sommelier host rounds off the event, awarding prizes to any winners if a competitive element is included (generally the less knowledge people have the more likely they are to win!).
  • Guests continue with informal drinks/food as agreed with client.

Set-up & Tidy-up

We usually arrive a couple of hours before a corporate event start time to unload our equipment, set up the room and make sure we have met the client and understand any last-minute requirements. We clear away everything we have brought at the end of the event, and are usually out of the building within an hour or so. We can of course provide additional wine for pre- or post-event drinks.
