Event Features

Sheftalia

 – the oval-shaped pork patties wrapped in caul fat and grilled to perfection. These little flavor bombs are seasoned with herbs and spices that will transport your taste buds straight to paradise. But wait, that’s not all! We’ve got some fresh salad and side dishes to round out this delicious meal. Trust me, once you try “Sheftalia” you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them!

The Dish:

    • Sheftalia: Sausages made with minced pork, herbs, and spices, which are then wrapped in caul fat and barbecued.
    • Salad: Tomato, cucumber, onion, and parsley.
    • Spreads: Pickalili, Tzatziki, Tahini.
    • Pitta Bread Pockets.

** Traditional recipes may not be able to accommodate all allergies or dietary restrictions. 

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with our homemade iced tea or lemonade! You can enjoy unlimited fresh water from our clay pot and a glass of wine or beer to accompany your meal. We exclusively showcase wines from boutique wineries, not mass-produced commercial wines; this gives you the chance to taste the best wines that Cyprus has to offer. If you are interested in joining a 1.5-hour scheduled session of a guided wine tasting experience with other guests either before or after the live cooking experience, please ensure that you book your wine tasting experience in advance for your convenience.

Live cooking experiences are all-inclusive. Once booked you will not need any extra cash. However extra charges may apply in the following cases:

  1. Drinks offered on this experience depends on availability and yours truly ’s choice. Should you want to upgrade your experience with different wines /drinks or quantity please send me a note and I will reply with a personalized custom wine list.
  2. The variety of food proposed is limited to the needs of the course, should you want to upgrade to different foods or quantity please send me a note and I will reply with a personalized custom menu.
  3. Optionally you may want to enjoy a bottle of wine or two at the Tasting Room. You can find a selection of platers available as add-ons at check out in your booking cart.

Just got back from an amazing day with Pambos, picking ingredients, preparing, and cooking traditional sheftalias, tzatziki, tahini, salads etc. whilst learning about the wonderful history and culture of Cyprus and sampling some of the local wines too. We had a great day which was fantastic value. Pambos is a great host and we thoroughly recommend this experience.

Such an amazing experience! We drove to the charming town of Episkopi which is not too far off from the coast. Pambos was generous enough to host us even though we did not make a reservation (Sorry again!). While enjoying great local wines we learned so much about the Cypriot wine industry and fascinating history. I highly recommend a visit when in Cyprus!

We were a group of 4. This was a gift for my husband's 60th birthday. What can I say!!!! We had the most excellent evening with Pambos. He was very engaging with lots of information, stories and an incredible sense of humour. We went to pick our veggies for the salad in a field close by. Amazing orange and lemon trees and we were able to help ourselves. The oranges were incredible. We also picked the largest cauliflower I have ever seen. We then set about making our sheftalia and the salads and other things. We all pitched in together and with Pambos's help we made the most delicious meal. Wine was flowing and the meal was finished off with traditional halva which we had never tried before but I will be having it again. I would highly recommend this experience. There is no way anyone could not thoroughly enjoy it.

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Sheftalia Cooking Class with Pambos and it was an unforgettable experience! The lovely hosts, Pambos greeted us with genuine warmth. Loved The rustic ambiance of the traditional Cypriot kitchen! Under Pambos's expert guidance, we dove into the heart of Cypriot cuisine and made Sheftalia. We minced pork, finely chopped onions, and blended aromatic herbs. Pambos shared stories of family traditions, local ingredients, and secret tips. We kneaded, shaped, and laughed until our creations were ready for the grill. We ate the sheftalia we cooked paired with local wines!

Wir haben das Sheftalia Grillen gleich an unserem ersten Tag gemacht. Es war ein wunderbarer Start in unseren Urlaub! Pambos Haus ist Mitten in wunderschönen Landschaft und Nahe einem kleinem sehenswerten Ort gelegen. Jetzt im Frühling blüht alles und im Zitrushain durch den wir zusammen spaziert sind, ist alles Reif. Orangen, Zitronen, Pomelo und alles mögliche dazwischen was ich nicht gekannt habe und wir konnten alles kosten. Beim Grillen konnten wir immer wieder unterschiedliche Sachen und frisch gepressten Zitrus Saft und Wein kosten. Es war lustig zusammen zu kochen und dabei zu plaudern. Das Endergebnis war super gut! Am besten war es den gemütlichen Nachmittag mit Pambos zu verbringen, plaudern und viel über Zypern zu erfahren. Wirklich ein toller Nachmittag!

Wow what an experience!!! It was amazing We went as a family with 2 kids 14, 9 Which both loved the house and the nature Going around the garden and picking oranges and lemons , the host was super , he was explaining about the area and Cyprus including wine and food , the kids had great time preparing the soflaki Which was delicious, my wife and I enjoyed learning about the Greek culture and had a lot of fun as a family Over all we highly recommend

Highlight of our time in Cyprus. We had an amazing time with Pambos and our group. A really authentic experience and we enjoyed Pambos company very much, the time disappeared as we talked and ate lots and lots of Sheftalia. We would 100% recommend this experience during your time in Paphos.

Sheftalia Recipe Workshop

The Tasting Room guidelines aim to make things clear and enjoyable for everyone, ensuring that we all have a wonderful experience

Sheftalia Live Cooking Workshop has a PER PERSON cost and can be booked in PRIVATE or you can JOIN OTHER GUESTS.

Price breakdown 

Individual prices
Each guest € 49
Private group 
– Each guest pays € 49
– Starting from € 196 /up to 4 Guests until 13 guests
– Final price will be determined by the number of guests.

To confirm a booking, you must purchase an event through the website. Your spot is secured upon payment. I recommend booking in advance to guarantee availability.

Payment Process

You need to pay in advance and the payment takes about a week to get processed. Then, Pambos.Wine holds your money in trust until the event is delivered.

Deposit

If your purchase meets the following conditions, you can confirm your booking with an advance payment (deposit):

  • Tour date is 15 or more days from now.
  • The total tour cost is at least 200 EUR.

Settlement

The total balance is due the day before the event date. You will receive an email reminder seven days before it is due. However, you can pay the balance at any time through your account on the website or via Revolut or after approval in cash before the beginning of the experience.

Please note that deposits are not currently available for events without an inquiry submission.

Cancellations are inconvenient for both the host and guest; however, I realize that emergencies occur. Here’s what to do if you need to change your plans:

Don’t cancel RESCHEDULE

You can reschedule the event to a different date or even transfer the booking to someone else who might be joining in the future. If you reschedule the session, the cancellation policy is based on the original purchase time and original start date of the experience.

How do I cancel an event?

If rescheduling isn’t possible, you can initiate a cancellation by sending me a message directly to yourstruly@pambos.wine

Refunds

  • To qualify for a refund for a cancelled event, you must initiate a cancellation before the tour starts.
  • You can cancel an event up to 24 hours before the beginning of the experience for a full refund, excluding credit card processing fees.
  • For less than 24  hours notice or no-show I’m afraid there’s no refund. We have this policy to respect the time and resources our team invests in preparing for your arrival.  
  • For non-refundable event options: Sales are final, and cancellations will be subject to approval under exceptional circumstances.
