The Icebreaker
At the wine show
The guided tour should last about an hour and half, during which we will be visiting winery stalls, talk with the wine makers and taste wines. The sequence and the quantity of visits will be determined by your preferences and your guide’s choice.
Walk-around Tasting: You will be admitted in the event and pick up your tasting glass. We will be moving in a clockwise circular way making it easy to follow incase anyone finds herself left behind. The pace of our tour will be flexible and I will selectively recommend wines based on your personal quiz results!Â
There is going to be a lot of wineries and dozens of wines to taste. One can very easily loose track, get lost and get drunk very quickly! The way I see a wine trade show is like a bank of data. A lot of information that will lead us to identify wines matching our tastes. The trick here is to know which data are you looking for, where you will find them and finally once you find them, what do you do with them.
Our visit will have to be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely). I have put together a plan that will help you enjoy your evening to the maximum. You will employ your senses and via a couple of interactive wine games and quiz we will begin our quest in the wonderful world of wine tasting.
